2108 N Street, Suite N, Sacramento, CA 95816 is the California address for Northwest Registered Agent, Inc. If you need to serve legal documents on a company that has designated Northwest as its registered agent, this is where you go. This guide covers everything you need before you arrive — from the neighborhood context to what the building looks like, where to park, and what to expect at the suite door.
The Address
Northwest Registered Agent, Inc.
2108 N Street, Suite N
Sacramento, CA 95816
Northwest is registered with the California Secretary of State as a General Corporation and has filed a Section 1505 Certificate designating this address as the official location for service of process in California. The office maintains named individuals authorized to accept service on behalf of all the entities Northwest represents in this state.
The Neighborhood: Midtown Sacramento
Before you navigate to 2108 N Street, it is worth understanding where this address sits relative to the rest of Sacramento — because it is genuinely different from every other major registered agent office in the city.
Most of Sacramento’s large registered agent offices are clustered in the Natomas corridor, a suburban office park area along Gateway Oaks Drive and Venture Oaks Way in South Natomas. CSC, Paracorp, and ZenBusiness all operate from that corridor. Free surface parking, wide streets, low-rise office buildings, and quick freeway access define the area. It is efficient and easy to navigate, but it is not the urban core.
2108 N Street is in Midtown Sacramento — immediately east of downtown, tree-lined blocks of Victorian and Craftsman buildings, independent coffee shops and restaurants, art galleries, and a neighborhood that has been here since Sacramento was the state capital of a much younger California. The Walk Score is 94 — Walker’s Paradise — making it the most walkable neighborhood in the city.
For process servers who spend their days in the urban core, this matters. If you have already been to the Sacramento Superior Court at 720 9th Street, or you are heading to the California Secretary of State’s office, or you work anywhere near Capitol Mall or the J Street corridor, Northwest’s Midtown address is a natural stop on your downtown route. No freeway necessary.
Getting There
From downtown Sacramento (Capitol Mall area): Head east on Capitol Avenue or L Street, then turn north on 21st Street, then east on N Street. The 2108 building is on the south side of N Street, just past the intersection with 21st Street. Total distance from the State Capitol is approximately 1 mile.
From the Sacramento Superior Court (720 9th Street): Head east on Capitol Avenue to 21st Street, turn north, then east on N Street. Approximately 1.5 miles — about 5 to 7 minutes by car or 25 to 30 minutes on foot.
From Interstate 80 (westbound from Roseville/Auburn): Exit at Arden Way, head south to Howe Avenue, then continue south to J Street. Head west on J Street toward Midtown, then turn south on 21st Street, and east on N Street.
From Interstate 5 (northbound or southbound): Take the J Street / Capitol Avenue exit. Head east through downtown and into Midtown. Turn south on 21st Street, then east on N Street.
Light rail: The RT Gold Line and Blue Line run along J Street and Capitol Avenue with stops within a few blocks of N Street. This is the most walkable major registered agent office in Sacramento — if you are light rail-equipped, it is a genuine option.
Parking
Midtown has a different parking reality than Natomas. There is no free surface lot surrounding the building. What Midtown does have:
• Street metered parking on N Street and surrounding blocks — paid via the ParkMobile app or at kiosk meters. Metered spaces on N Street are typically available during business hours, though they require payment. Allow 5 to 10 minutes for parking and walking.
• East End Parking Garage at 17th Street between L Street and Capitol Avenue — $2 flat rate on evenings and weekends. During business hours, rates are affordable and the garage is rarely full.
• 18th Street Parking Garage and Capitol Garage — both within reasonable walking distance for Midtown stops.
• SacPark app — the City of Sacramento’s parking app, useful for advance reservations at public garages.
The parking calculus here is different from Natomas: you are paying for a meter or a garage, but you are also arriving at a neighborhood that is walkable, easy to navigate, and close to the courts. If you have multiple stops in the downtown-Midtown corridor, a single garage spot can anchor the whole run.
The Building
2108 N Street sits in a mixed commercial and residential mid-rise block typical of N Street in Midtown — the kind of professional but approachable building that fits the neighborhood. This is not a glass-and-granite Class A tower, and it is not a strip mall. It is the kind of building that has several professional suites with distinct tenants, occupying a corner presence on a tree-lined Midtown block.
The building has multiple separately designated suites — Suite C, Suite N, and others — consistent with a multi-tenant professional office arrangement. BizProfile data shows over 500 registered business entities using Suite N as their registered address through Northwest. This is standard for registered agent offices: the physical office receives service on behalf of all client businesses; there is no floor crowded with 500 companies. It is one office, with staff, representing many entities.
Finding Suite N
Suite N is the Northwest Registered Agent office within the building. As with most professional registered agent offices, the suite will have clear identification — look for suite lettering and Northwest Registered Agent signage. The office is a staffed reception location, not a drop box or a mail slot.
If you are uncertain which entrance or which side of the building to approach, the building’s layout is straightforward for a Midtown mixed-use structure. When in doubt, approach the main entrance on N Street.
Serving Papers at Suite N
Accepted hours: Northwest accepts service of process at this location Monday through Friday during regular business hours. They do not accept service on weekends or after hours.
Phone contact for pre-service questions: 509-435-9053 (Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific)
What to expect: The Suite N office is a staffed location. Present your documents to the reception staff. Northwest staff will confirm the documents are directed at an entity they represent, and an authorized employee will accept service. Under California law, you do not need to name a specific individual at a registered agent office — any authorized employee can accept.
Post-service scanning: Northwest’s model is to scan accepted documents locally from the Sacramento office, typically same day, and upload them to the client’s account. This means the business owner is notified quickly — often within hours. For process servers, this means any attempt to track down a defendant who might delay notification of service is unlikely to succeed. Northwest’s workflow is built for fast, documented delivery.
What to bring: Original documents to be served. After service, complete your proof of service with the date, time, address, and the name of the person who accepted documents. Our process servers handle all documentation and provide court-ready proof of service.
Proximity to Courts and Government Offices
The Midtown location has practical advantages for process servers working a downtown-heavy route:
• Sacramento County Superior Court (720 9th Street) — approximately 1.5 miles west
• Federal District Court, Eastern District of California (501 I Street) — approximately 1.7 miles west
• California Secretary of State (1500 11th Street) — approximately 1.1 miles west
• State Capitol Building (10th and L Streets) — approximately 1 mile west
If your run includes a court filing, a visit to the SOS, and service at Northwest, the geography is favorable. All of these are in the same urban corridor.
What You Will Not Find Here
The Midtown stop at 2108 N Street is a different experience from the Natomas corridor. There is no free surface lot, no monument sign with a tenant directory, no drive-up office park feel. What you get instead is a neighborhood office, walkable streets, quick access to downtown courts, and a professional registered agent that has been operating since 1998 without changing what it is.
For process servers who regularly serve CSC, Paracorp, or ZenBusiness in Natomas, the Northwest stop is its own separate run — or it integrates naturally into any downtown Sacramento route. For our complete guide to the Natomas registered agent corridor, see ZenBusiness and the Natomas Corridor.
