Sacramento has a registered agent corridor. It runs along Gateway Oaks Drive and Venture Oaks Way in the South Natomas submarket, a suburban office park area just north of Interstate 80. Within a half-mile stretch of this corridor, three of the most-served registered agent offices in the Sacramento metro area sit within easy walking or driving distance of each other.
For process servers, attorneys, and litigation teams, this clustering is not a coincidence to note — it is an operational advantage to plan around.
The Three Agents
ZenBusiness Inc. — 2520 Venture Oaks Way, Suite 120
ZenBusiness is the newest arrival in the corridor. The $1.7 billion Austin-based tech startup occupies Suite 120 in Gateway Oaks IV, a Class A office building managed by Basin Street Properties. The building features a granite and glass exterior, an upscale lobby with leather seating and a digital directory, and free surface parking.
ZenBusiness accepts service of process Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Suite 120 is on the ground floor — enter the lobby, walk down the first-floor hallway, and look for the copper-accented plaque reading “ZenBusiness Inc.” beside the suite door.
ZenBusiness represents over 850,000 businesses formed through its online platform, primarily LLCs and corporations for first-time entrepreneurs.
CSC Lawyers Incorporating Service — 2710 Gateway Oaks Drive, Suite 150N
CSC (Corporation Service Company, also known by its legacy name Prentice-Hall Corporation System) occupies Suite 150N at 2710 Gateway Oaks Drive — approximately 0.5 miles from ZenBusiness. CSC is the registered agent for an estimated 90% of Fortune 500 companies and represents hundreds of thousands of California entities.
CSC accepts service of process Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This early closing time is the most important scheduling detail in the corridor.
Paracorp Incorporated (d/b/a Parasec) — 2804 Gateway Oaks Drive, Suite 100
Paracorp has been at 2804 Gateway Oaks Drive since the company was founded in 1977. This is their corporate headquarters, not a branch office. Paracorp is the only 100% employee-owned registered agent in the industry, operating under an ESOP structure.
Paracorp accepts service of process Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Suite 100 is on the ground floor with direct access from the lobby.
The Geography
The three offices form a rough triangle:
• ZenBusiness to CSC: ~0.5 miles (2 minutes by car, 10 minutes on foot)
• ZenBusiness to Paracorp: ~0.6 miles (2 minutes by car, 12 minutes on foot)
• CSC to Paracorp: ~0.1 miles (adjacent buildings in the same office complex)
All three locations have free surface parking. No parking garages, no meters, no validation. Park at one, drive to the next, park again. Or, if you are serving CSC and Paracorp (which are essentially next door to each other), park once and walk between them.
Compare this to serving registered agents in downtown Sacramento, where CT Corporation (555 Capitol Mall, 11th floor) and Cogency Global (1325 J Street, 15th floor) require paid parking, building security check-ins, and elevator rides. The Natomas corridor eliminates all of that friction.
Routing Strategy for Multi-Stop Runs
If you have documents for entities at all three agents, here is the optimal sequence:
Step 1: CSC First (Before 2:00 PM)
CSC closes for service of process at 2:00 PM — the earliest cutoff of any major Sacramento registered agent. This is the non-negotiable constraint. If you have CSC papers, they must be served before 2:00 PM. Plan your arrival at 2710 Gateway Oaks Drive accordingly, with enough buffer time that you are not rushing.
Step 2: Paracorp Second
After CSC, drive or walk to 2804 Gateway Oaks Drive — literally the next building in the complex. Paracorp is open until 5:00 PM, giving you a three-hour window after the CSC cutoff. The Paracorp staff are long-tenured (a benefit of employee ownership and low turnover) and accustomed to process servers. Service is typically fast and professional.
Step 3: ZenBusiness Third
From Paracorp, drive approximately half a mile to 2520 Venture Oaks Way. ZenBusiness is also open until 5:00 PM. Enter the lobby, proceed to Suite 120 on the ground floor, and serve.
Why This Order
The order is driven entirely by CSC’s early close. If you reverse the sequence and start at ZenBusiness, any delay — traffic, a longer-than-expected service, a wrong-entity issue that requires a phone call to your client — puts the CSC service at risk. Always serve the agent with the earliest closing time first.
If you only have documents for two of the three agents, the same principle applies: CSC first if included, then the others in whatever order is convenient.
What Makes This Corridor Unique
Sacramento is home to dozens of registered agent offices scattered across the metro area. But the Natomas corridor is the only location where three nationally significant registered agents are clustered within walking distance.
The three agents also represent three distinct eras and philosophies of registered agent service:
• Paracorp (founded 1977): The employee-owned local institution. Sacramento-headquartered for nearly 50 years. Traditional service model.
• CSC (founded 1899): The corporate giant. Fortune 500 clients. Part of a national conglomerate with acquisitions spanning decades.
• ZenBusiness (founded 2015): The venture-backed tech disruptor. $275 million in funding. Digital-first platform for first-time entrepreneurs.
Three companies, three models, one half-mile corridor.
Area Context
The Gateway Oaks / Venture Oaks corridor is in South Natomas, Sacramento’s most sought-after suburban office submarket. The area sits within one mile of both Interstate 5 and Interstate 80, providing fast access to downtown Sacramento (about 10 minutes), Sacramento International Airport (about 10 minutes), and the broader Northern California freeway network.
The neighborhood is commercial office parks, landscaped grounds, restaurants, and retail centers. It is not walkable in the urban sense — you will drive between locations — but it is easy to navigate with wide streets and clear signage.
For process servers based in Sacramento, the Natomas corridor is one of the highest-volume service areas in the region. Between ZenBusiness, CSC, and Paracorp, a significant percentage of all California registered agent service runs through this half-mile stretch.
Standard Service (10 business days): $99
Expedited Service (3 business days): $150
Rush Service (24 hours): $175
Court Filing Add-On: +$30
