Sundoc Filings Is Now Corporate Creations: What Process Servers Need to Know

Sacramento Registered Process Server - Fast, Flat-Rate, Court-Ready

If you have searched for Sundoc Filings recently, you may have noticed that their website now redirects to Corporate Creations, a division of Computershare Entity Solutions. This has created confusion for attorneys, paralegals, and process servers who need to serve legal documents at Sundoc’s Sacramento office. Here is what happened and what it means for service of process.

What Happened

In June 2023, Sundoc Filings was acquired by Computershare, a global financial services company based in Australia. Computershare merged Sundoc Filings into its entity management division, Computershare Entity Solutions, alongside another registered agent brand called Corporate Creations.

The Sundoc Filings brand has been effectively absorbed into Corporate Creations. The sundocfilings.com website now redirects to corporatecreations.com, and new customers are onboarded under the Corporate Creations name.

What Didn’t Change

The Sacramento office is still there. Sundoc Filings’ office at 7801 Folsom Blvd, Suite 202, Sacramento, CA 95826 remains open and continues to accept service of process during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM).

Existing Secretary of State filings still say Sundoc Filings. The tens of thousands of entities that designated Sundoc Filings as their registered agent did not have their filings automatically updated. If you look up a company on bizfileonline.sos.ca.gov and it says “Sundoc Filings” as the agent, that is still the correct entity to serve — at the same address.

Which Name Do I Use?

For service of process purposes, use whatever name appears on the entity’s Secretary of State filing. If it says Sundoc Filings, serve Sundoc Filings at 7801 Folsom Blvd. If a newer filing says Corporate Creations at the same address, serve Corporate Creations there. The staff at the office accept documents for both names.

Will Filings Eventually Update?

Some companies may update their registered agent designation over time as they file annual Statements of Information. But there is no automatic mass update — the name change happens one entity at a time, and only when the entity files new paperwork. This means Sundoc Filings will continue to appear on Secretary of State records for years to come.

For Process Servers: Nothing Changes Operationally

Whether the filing says Sundoc Filings, Corporate Creations, or Computershare Entity Solutions, the physical location for service in Sacramento is the same: 7801 Folsom Blvd, Suite 202. We serve this address regularly and the staff accept documents for all entities under the Computershare umbrella.
