The two offices are approximately 4 blocks apart — a 5-minute walk or a 2-minute drive. For process servers visiting both agents, this proximity makes multi-stop service extremely efficient.
Serving Both in One Trip
If you have documents for entities using both Cogency Global and CT Corporation, the most efficient approach is to serve them in sequence during a single downtown trip. Here is the recommended route:
Start at CT Corporation (555 Capitol Mall). The building is on Capitol Mall between 5th and 6th Streets. Park in the 5th Street garage or use metered parking on Capitol Mall. Take the elevator to the 11th floor, suite 1150, and serve the documents.
Walk to Cogency Global (1325 J Street). From 555 Capitol Mall, head north on 5th Street to J Street, then east on J Street to 13th Street. This is about a 15-minute walk, or you can drive and re-park. Take the elevator to the 15th floor, suite 1550, and serve the documents.
File at the courthouse if needed. Both locations are within walking distance of the Sacramento County Superior Courthouse at 720 9th Street. If you also need to file a proof of service, you can complete the entire circuit in a single morning.
Downtown Parking Tips
Parking in downtown Sacramento is metered and limited during business hours. The most reliable options are the parking garages:
• Capitol Garage (10th & L Streets) — large, centrally located
• City Hall Garage (9th & I Streets) — near the courthouse
• 5th Street Garage — close to CT Corporation
• K Street Mall Garage (14th & K) — close to Cogency Global
All of these garages accept credit cards and offer daily rates for longer stays.
The Downtown Advantage
Sacramento’s downtown legal district is compact — the Capitol, the state and federal courthouses, the Secretary of State’s office, and both major downtown registered agents are all within a 10-block area. For litigation teams who need to coordinate service, filing, and research in one trip, downtown Sacramento is exceptionally efficient.
